Though I should post on some of my favorite runs. Similar to what I have started with my MTB trails.
Summary
Location: Cronulla to Kurnell (Out & Back)
Description: A nice run along The Esplanard then out along the back of Cronulla sand dunes to Kurnell.
Pros

• Nice location;
• Goes past Cronulla sand hills if you want to do hill reps
• Sea Breeze
• Can be extended at the Kurnell end or even turned into a loop along Kurnell Rd
• Water bubbler at ~2.1km maker

Cons

• First half can be busy
• Parking can be hard to find late in the morning at Cronulla (so go early )

Review

This is a great run taking in ocean views and summer atmosphere. We started this run from the car park at South Cronulla beach, walking the first section of The Esplanard as a warm up. The run takes in Cronulla’s main beach and surf spots and passes behind Wanda surf club through Wanda car park. Once leaving Wanda car park the run continues along the service road at the back of Cronulla sand dunes, going past the popular sand dunes used most weekends for hill reps up and down. The service road eventually comes to and end at the bottom of a hill, look for a goat track that hugs the fence line towards the beach. Once you reach the end of the fence to the beach follow the fence line out to the 4wd boat harbor entrance. Once out at boat harbor hit the beach for a couple of hundred meters and look for the track track heading up the rocks and towards the point. Keep on running out to the point / car park. Continue on if you want some more Km’s or do a u’e and head on back as we do.

A great run with some chances of whale watching at the point.
