GlobalStar BT-388 GPS Receiver
Well, my birthday is coming up and with that in mind I thought it a good excuse to purchase something that I didn’t really need but thought would be fun. After some deliberation I decided a GPS would be nice. I looked around at the various options. Should I go the in car talking option, or perhaps a handheld unit and how much do I want to spend. After talking to some people that already had a GPS I decided the best option for me was Bluetooth GPS receiver as I already had an old PDA lying around at home with Bluetooth capabilities and had been considering buying a PDA phone next time I was looking to upgrade mobiles (at least a year Laura J). After reading some reviews and seeing plenty of good comments from forums I settled on the the GlobalStar BT-388.
So fare I have loaded on tomtom to my PDA and it works a treat. Next mission is to get the GIS / Raster programs going for off the beating track missions.
